Attaining Self-Actualization

Self-actualization, is a term used in psychology associated with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, and is the idea of an individual reaching their full potential. Our basic and psychological needs, need to be fulfilled before we can attain self-actualization.
Lydia understands the difficulty of achieving self-actualization as an adoptee and the added complexities that come with being a trans-racial adoptee.

Goals:
Cultivating a safe space for adoptees to share their unfiltered feelings
Guide adoptees in the development of their self and racial identity and journey to finding a sense of belonging in their family and communities
Building adoptees self confidence
This unit of service is open to adoptees age 8-20, and is intended to best serve the adoptees needs. With this in mind the topics and goals of the service will be tailored to the trans-racial adoptees expected outcomes, age, maturity, and development.
